Dr. Ferucci was born and raised in Anchorage.  He studied psychology and biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. He received his medical degree at The University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1997, where he was elected to the honorary medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha in his junior year.

Dr. Ferucci completed two years of general surgery and his urology residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, in Denver (1997-2003).

Personal

Dr. Ferucci, his wife Elizabeth (also a physician) moved back to Alaska in 2003 when he joined the AU group. 

As an avid downhill ski racer growing up, he attended a ski academy in Utah throughout high-school.  Dr. Ferucci still maintains the need for speed, which he gets through skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.  He also enjoys hunting, fishing and flying.
