Education

Dr. Ferucci was born and raised in Anchorage. He studied psychology and biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. He received his medical degree at The University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1997, where he was elected to the honorary medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha in his junior year.

Dr. Ferucci completed two years of general surgery and four years of urology residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, in Denver (1997-2003).

Experience

Dr. Ferucci enjoys all aspects of urology.

Some of Dr. Ferucci’s particular interests are in the following areas:

  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
  • Bladder control problems
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Male infertility
  • Kidney stone disease

From 2006-2013, Dr. Ferucci was the chair of the urology subsection at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Personal

Dr. Ferucci and his wife moved back to Alaska in 2003 when he joined Alaska Urology.

As an avid downhill ski racer growing up, he attended a ski academy in Utah throughout high school. Dr. Ferucci still maintains the need for speed, which he gets through skiing, mountain running, and mountain biking. He also enjoys spending time with his kids, hunting, fishing, and flying.
