Dr. Posey grew up in the Seattle area. Dr. Posey is a 2002 graduate of Syracuse University where he majored in Biochemistry and was a four-year member of the varsity swim team.
Dr. Posey received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI in 2006. Dr. Posey recently completed his surgical training at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Posey’s training included an internship in general surgery and a residency in urologic surgery (2006-2011).
Dr. Posey’s urologic training included the full breadth of adult urologic care, including the care of both male and female patients. His surgical training included an emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures. Dr. Posey has a particular interest in the use of minimally invasive techniques to include the robotic-assisted surgeries. Dr. Posey has published papers on a variety of urologic topics and presented his findings at national meetings.
Dr. Posey joined Alaska Urology in 2015. Dr. Posey moved to Anchorage in 2011 with his wife, who was born and raised in Alaska, and two children. Dr. Posey has been practicing urology in Anchorage since 2011.
