Education
Emily Shipman earned her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, graduating in 2018. She graduated from the University of Washington’s MEDEX NW Physician Assistant program in 2022 with a Masters of Clinical Health Services (MCHS).
Experience
Emily began working at Alaska Urology in 2023. She has experience working as a medical assistant in pain management prior to attending physician assistant school.
Personal
Emily grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska and moved to Anchorage in 2018. She enjoys many outdoor pursuits, including exploring Alaska’s backcountry through skiing, packrafting, hiking, and backpacking. Emily loves to set challenges for herself, from completing PA school, to racing half marathons, to climbing mountains in Nepal. She likes to balance an active lifestyle by spending time with friends and family at local restaurants and community events.
