Gilbert Lewis Trout III graduated from University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program in 2015 with a Bachelor of Clinical Health Sciences.   Prior to attending the physician assistant program, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at University of South Alabama in Mobile in 2006.

Experience

Mr. Trout has been practicing as a PA in Urology in Alaska for  3 years. He has been a member of the Alaska Urology team since 2018. Prior to this, he worked 2 years as a PA in cardiology.  Prior to becoming a PA he worked in the urology field inpatient in the Air Force, and then for several years as a medical assistant. 

Mr. Trout maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Alaska Association of Physician Assistants, and Urological Association of Physician Assistants. 

Personal

Mr. Trout grew up in upstate New York, leaving in 1995 to join the United States Air Force.  He served as a medical technician for over 10 years in the USAF and USAF Reserves, living in Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, and Ohio.  Mr. Trout moved to Alaska in July 2009 with his wife and 3 children.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmachining, and riding ATVs.
